Homeopathy: Europe's Leading Alternative Therapy

Homeopathic medicine is so popular in Europe and is such an integral part of everyday health care that it is now inappropriate to consider it "alternative health care." The Royal Connection

Britain 's royal family has sought homeopathic care from the 1830s to the present-day. They are the patrons to a homeopathic hospital in London, "The Royal London Homeopathic Hospital." George VI was so impressed with the healing powers of homeopathic medicines that he named his prize racehorse "Hypericum," after a common homeopathic medicine for injuries to nerves.

Today, Prince Charles is an outspoken proponent of homeopathic and natural medicine, and he has popularized the term "complementary medicine" because he sees the great value homeopathy and natural medicines have in helping to create a comprehensive health care. HOMEOPATHIC REMEDY CASES

Atropa Belladonna (bell)
(Deadly Nightshade)

The causation includes: haircuts, getting the head wet, exposure to sun, walking in the wind.

Case 1

A nervous man would suddenly get a severe headache whenever he was exposed to tobacco smoke.

This tendency was cured with Belladonna.

Case 2

A child, aged 3, had fever due to worms. He would wake up at night screaming and could not be pacified. His cheeks and ear tips were brilliant scarlet red. Other parts of the face, especially around the mouth, were white as snow. The eyes were brilliant and staring with the pupils dilated. The skin was dry and hot like fire. On being spoken to he would fly into a violent rage.

He was given Belladonna 10M, and later 1M, which cured him of the fever.

Case 3

A man, aged 27, who was healthy and never had had any dizziness before was afflicted with a sunstroke after cutting his hair and exposing his neck to a tropical sun.

He was cured with Belladonna.

About Belladonna

Belladonnna is a member of the Nightshade (Solanaceae) family of plants. It contains a number of poisonous alkaloids such as hyoscyamine, scopolamine and atropine. It acts strongly on the brain.

Belladonna is well known for curing and preventing scarlet fever. In case of an epidemic, taking Belladonna 2 or 3 times a day will almost certainly prevent one getting this disease.

Belladonna is a great children’s remedy. Complaints come on suddenly: a hot, red face, throat hot and dry, pupils dilated, high fever, semi-stupor, jumping in sleep is if going into convulsions every now and then.

Among many others, Belladonna has been used in curing headaches, roseola, mumps, paralysis, epilepsy, Gilles de la Tourette’s syndrome and meningitis.

Belladonna has been used to cure ‘air sickness’ in aviators and is given as a preventive.

Its ability to cure a great variety of intense head pains has led to Belladonna being regarded as an excellent headache remedy.
